Alameda Contemporary
Our clients lived in a townhouse overlooking San Leandro Creek. When they had the opportunity to buy a more spacious 2,145 sq ft condo in the same building, Georgina Rice & Co. completely gutted the two-bedroom and two-bathroom home, creating a third combined bedroom study. We selected a warm, neutral color palette with layered textures and rounded silhouettes to counterbalance the angular lines of the 1980s architecture. A curved sofa embraces the circular coffee table flanked by barrel-back chairs for the conversation grouping. We installed artisanal lighting throughout the condo. Sconces with white slumped glass and a bronze ribbon pattern create a sense of continuity in the open living, dining, and kitchen spaces. We renovated their original condo, and our clients sold it.
